Thomas
Cook has revived its well-known 'Don't just book it...Thomas Cook it!' slogan
after a 15 year break.
The
strapline, last used in 1993, was created in 1984 and (1) _________________ became a popular slogan in the media. As a
result, Thomas Cook was recognised as an (2)
__________ member of the Ads Hall of Fame by AdSlogans in 2000. Only 114
slogans have been (3) _____________

Group
chief executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa said the slogan had been brought
back (5) _____________ new

level of (6) _________________ of
the slogan, with even young (7)

In
the poll of 2000 people, 60% could still complete the strapline. The
recall increased to 75% in the 35-44 age group. Among 15-24 year olds, who had
the lowest (8) ___________, 24%
still remembered the slogan.
He
said: "For a (9) _______________
team to go back to something is pretty (10)
_______________. The reaction has been (11)

Don’t just book it, PSP it, says Thomas Cook
June 15, 2010
Thomas Cook has
announced plans to make Sony PSPs available for (12) ______________ on its planes on short and medium haul routes.
The handhelds
will be loaded up with a number of films, TV shows and games to keep you
entertained during the (13)
_____________, and take your mind off the inevitable baby crying its eyes out
in the next row.
If you want to
enjoy one, however, it’ll cost you £7.50 to hire for the duration of the
flight. Although you will be able to share it with a partner via a headphone (14) ________________ (the films at any
rate).
The PSPs will
replace the airline’s current in-flight (15)
_______________ system, though we must admit, £7.50 is a touch rich for our
blood.
Maybe we’ll
stick to those other fun free airline games you can partake in, such as playing
“who owns the armrest” with your next door neighbour passenger.
Or perhaps a
spot of “wave your legs in the air, like you just don’t care”, the lower body (16) _________________ game designed to
help prevent deep vein thrombosis.
